Our patrol agreed that the normal BSA OWL Patrol "crests"
where to plain, so we designed our own.

Chris had our patrol patches made locally

OWLS : Chris, Dan, Norm, John and a couple of those "Flat-Tailed Critters" attended the 1999 session of :

Otetiana Council's Okpik Winter Survival Course, (15th anniversary) taught by a superb group of dedicated Scouters lead by Pete Bushnell and crew. This year's course was taught at the old Voyager dinning hall of Camp Massawepie, Gale, NY. It was a wonderful course, full of many types of references on how to enjoy your Scouting in any winter situation.
Even though it got down to minus 12 F degrees on Saturday night, Dan and Doug (a Beaver) slept outdoors in the snow hut without problems. We think it is really wonderful that the Emblem for OKPIK is the Snowy OWL.
