Was glad to have stumbled upon the Troop 173 web page. It has been many years since I was in the troop. I started in 1969. In '69 we went to Camp Forester at Massaweepi. In 1970 we went to Mountineer and in 1971 we went back to Forester. While in the troop I was Assistant Patrol Leader, Patrol Leader and Seinor Patrol leader. I made the rank of Star, and left the troop to join The Explorer post (Post 173) My dad was the Post Advisor and taught auto mechanics. In 1973 I was on staff at Forester I was an Assistant Counsler and also worked in the Trading Post for the last 2 weeks. I now live in Nashville, TN

Dear Sirs,
Upon looking at your web [Links] page, I noticed you had our troop listed.
We are Troop 252 of Fairport (AH), not Irondequoit. Glad to see you included us on your web page.
Thanks, Mark W.

Hello,
I am impressed by your extensive page of scouting links. You already have a link to Troop 129
in Pittsford, but we have recently moved. The new address is www.troop129.com
Thanks! Good luck in the future,

A member of Cub Pack 154 & Troop 154. Attended Massawepie the first year it opened (in the second week group). Pioneer. The road to Mountaineer was just being built. Several memories. A great place. Have some clippings and photos.

Visit the Emergency Protective Preparedness Exam Series at the URL http://www.geocities.com/Havliceks/Emergency_Protective_Preparedness_Exam_Series.html Find there merit badge training exams for 1st Aid, Crime Prevention, Emergency Preparedness, Fire Safety, Safety, & Wilderness Survival as well as the Red Cross Emergency Survey/Damage Assessment Preparedness exercise. Let us see that our earnest efforts to advance in rank are far more than just an exercise to appease our elders. A scout is ... Robert B'J' Havlicek

I started out in Scouter Van's Old Owl Patrol pages and got caught up in how well everything fit together.
I think you have done a great job with the information available. There is no excuse for any scout or parent not to know exactly what is expected for rank advancement or for the merit badges covered by the troop leadership. I am impressed with the thoroughness (is that a word?) of your information.
I have read the comments by others who have been to your site, and know that they mean what they say. You have a great page here. Congratulations. Yours In Scouting, Mollie I used to be a Bobwhite I used to be a Staffer NE-IV-109, NE-IV-114, and now in 2000 also.
